Chocolate Molten Lava cake

For anyone who has been on a cruise, you know the desserts onboard are to DIE for… We were on an 11 day cruise to the South Pacific recently on a Carnival ship. And I fell in-love with their melting chocolate cake. I found their recipe and have made it a few times without flaws.

Ingredients

  • 85 grams Dark Chocolate Lindt 70%
  • 85 grams Butter Softened
  • 2 Eggs
  • 42.5 grams Caster Sugar
  • 28.5 grams Flour

Instructions

Notes

  1. Melt the chocolate and butter
  2. Mix eggs and sugar and whisk for a few minutes, then add flour
  3. Add the egg mix to the melted chocolate and mix
  4. Pour the mix in a greased mold
  5. Bake directly in the oven at 200°C for 14 minutes
