Not everyone likes to cook, my guess is ’cause cooking is tough.
Following along with a recipe word for word and still having your dish flop – Sucks!
I know I don’t do well with disappointment, especially when I follow a recipe 100% and it comes out badly…
I sulk for D.A.Y.S and totally avoid the kitchen, lol can actually hear my therapists’ voice saying “this seems like avoidance, is this what’s best for you?
Grrrrr, so instead of avoidance I’ve learned to read a handful of recipes, get the gist of what’s needed and merge them as I go. If it’s still a disaster, well then it’s my disaster and I own it. And for the most part, I think my food is not too bad.
But doing it this way, means I need to diarize what I did so I can re-create or amend things for later.
